I just got my poppers in and used them the other night at a religious fund raiser. see the link here for the shots
http://www.photoky.com Press the "messiah ministries" link.

I had a friend assist by holding a mono pod about 3 ft behind me. Everything work great except me, who has a hard time get the "right" light for a shot.
I am using a Nikon D300, 2 SB800. The strobes work fine and when I up the ev on the master strobe, popper worked as expected.

Kind regards
Ken

Hi Sara,

Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed it. As far as Pocket Wizards putting out something that does what the radio poppers do... my guess would be probably not. If they do, great! Nothing like competition to keep quality up and prices down.

I would like to make a couple points, though, you only tape one thing down on the flash, just in the one spot. Also, there weren't any wires that screw in and out, just the screws to open it up and put the batteries in. These are things I'd bet Radiopopper take care of soon. The bottom line for me is that they work flawlessly at what they are meant to do.

Nothing wrong with holding off to buy as long as you are happy with what you have. Me, I was going coo-coo and now I'm saved! Thank you Radiopopper!

Thanks for this review. I am now hearing Pocket Wizard is about to put out their answer to this popper and it will be smaller and easier to use. Im hearing it wont have the taping things all over you flash and the little wire that you need to screw in and out.

I am holding off on buying this for now but I cant wait to see if the PW is worth the wait or to just pick these up.

Either way, very entertaining review, thanks for that!
