Actor extraordinaire and voice over legend James Arnold Taylor whom I mentioned in the article “How to Take a Portrait Without a Face” stars in this summer’s Star Wars feature, “Clone Wars” as the voice of Obi Wan. Yes, THE Obi Wan. Sweet, right? Well…

The Idea:
“Oil” is an attempt to illustrate the blood for oil war. The ingredients I felt were necessary: oil to represent, well, the oil and sand to represent the location where the war is taking place. The “war” and “blood” parts were the variables I needed to sit down and figure out. For war I […]

The Idea:
“Valley Girl” is a nice simple image. OR IS IT! Look closely. What do you see? A drive in movie theater, weathered, in disrepair, poorly done paint touch ups on just the smallest sections. Half hearted attempts at improvement. The drive in symbolizes the past, youth. You see a woman and her long shadow […]

The Idea:
Know Your Job is all about two things: the sign in the back which establishes the expectation - starting the story, and the acting which works to show the outcome of what happens to someone who doesn’t know their job. It’s aggressive, dark, angry, but I hope some people find it funny.

The Idea:
Allure is another image from the series I mentioned in last week’s POTW - Trunk - images that are inspired by the feature film look. Images for this series revolve around a moment where the main character is about to do something that will change their life forever. In this Nice Photo of the […]

We’re trying out a new feature here at Nice Photo Magazine: Photo of the Week. Every week I’ll try to get an image up with at the very least an explanation of the thought process behind it.

It’s like candy for your workflow.
These are my first reactions to the Radiopopper flash communication extender accessory thing-a-ma-jig. I plan to do an updated review in a few months after I’ve beat them up prison style and made ‘m my flash slaves. The comments are based on my use for just these two separate photo […]
