Blog Blog Linkydoos

I really don’t do this enough in my opinion. So here you goes, links to blog posts from around the web that I’ve read recently and found interesting.

Prolost tells it like it is. Just because your fancy new DSLR may shoot video doesn’t mean you have to. And just when are the companies going to let us give them our money?

Fine art photographer Chris Anthony has a gallery opening this Saturday (03-28-09) in Los Angeles and I hope to make it. His work is haunting and interesting. Some of his past work is bit heavy on the photoshop, but still very nice! This series looks to be even more my taste than his other works. If anyone else is going, let me know and we’ll try to meet up.

Canon has a new itty-bitty flash that I plan on adding to my G9 setup as soon as I can get my hands on it. Sure, it’s not perfect, but it might look a little less obscene than when I’ve got a 580exII towering over the little fella. Also, total speculation, but my psychic powers are telling me this flash is really being made to support a new, yet to be announced aps-c size sensor compact camera from Canon. Why thinky that? Two words, okay, numbers 28 50.

From the Make blog comes a DIY Photo Booth that I would love to build one day.

I wasn’t going to post this because it probably won’t interest a single one of you, but I’m going to put it up and you can just chose not to watch it. It’s a video of my son saying his first words when he was 12 weeks old (about 2 months ago). He’s just so dang cute. But all dads think their baby is cute, right? There is nothing artsy about the video. It is shot with the 5DMII but the color balance is all poopy and it looks like doo doo. What? I said it won’t interest you. Don’t click on the link. Nothing to see here. Move along please.

Nice!
