Hi James,

I'm not so sure we're interested in working on the bleeding edge. And definitely not interested in doing anything at any cost as cost is often the most limiting factor in an indi production.

For my films I'm interested in delivering the message I want to deliver as effectively as I can even if that means I have to work harder and use gear that drives me nuts. All I'm concerned with is what the audience experiences. They don't know (or care, most likely) if it was a pain in the ass to put it up on the screen or a breeze.

That's my opinion for what it's worth.

Nice!

Zeke,

Michael is dead on in his detailed analysis of DSLR's for "movie making".

His point are often overlooked by indies who are hell bent on working with working on the "bleeding edge" at any cost even if it means their own sanity is at stake.
