Human Nature and Point of View

This entertaining video is from the Showtime series (and radio series) This American Life. This particular clip is about human nature, perception, memory, and point of view, very important elements to me in the art of creating compelling art. It’s not about photography directly. But if you notice something that seems to be a fairly universal component of human nature and can figure out how to communicate it in an image, there’s a good chance you’ll have a compelling photograph. It’s a lot harder than it sounds, and even more rewarding.

Oh, and if you’re married I think you’ll find this clip especially entertaining.

Nice!

  1. It looks interesting but unfortunately on a 256k connection it’s not watchable. I only watch video which downloads, not streamed. Thanks anyway.
