Photo of a Yeti
I just saw the above video over at the U Toob via The Online Photographer. It’s a very fun and expert use of photography, animation, and narration. I really liked this short (under 7 min) film and wanted to share. As for content, let me just say it’s about the sometimes impossible requests Getty Images receives for photographs from their archives.
The film is slick and inspiring. At least to me.

thanks for pointing to this video, it is very interesting indeed, a lot better than what I thought it would be, do you know what software was used to achieved that paper cut out look by any chance?
Hi Joe,
They actually cut out copies of real photographs from the archives and animated it using stop motion animation. Yeah. Old school. Of course, it looks like there was some fancy motion control camera work in there too.
