Radio Poppers - The Anticipation Builds
Mar 30th, 2008 | By Mr.K | Category: The Blog Blog, The Latest

If this guy Kevin is as good at building photography equipment as he is at building anticipation, we are in for a world made out of ice cream cake!
Radio Popper have officially opened the first round of pre-ordering. I am lucky enough to be on the pre-order list. A few days ago I got the magic invitation, rushed over to the site and placed my order. Apparently I’m order #15. I will most definitely be posting a review when I get them. When will I get them? There is a tentative date of April 7th, so possibly two days later.
I’ve never been real good at waiting for photography equipment and waiting for this piece of photo gear is especially taxing (see the reasons I’m so excited about what how these are going to help with my photography in this post). So now I wait.
It’s like I showed up at a party. I spot the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen. I’m nervous, but I try to make my way closer. Maybe she’s not so great, I tell myself to calm my nerves. But the closer I get, the better she looks. I try to get closer still. It’s taking forever. A whiff of her perfume. She smells like chocolate! I can’t stand it. I work my way through the crowd. I try not to push, but these people won’t get out of my way. I step over my friends, crushing their necks beneath my feet. I apologize, but they don’t care, they know she’s the one I’ve been looking for. I can almost touch her. Oh, what a smile! I hear her voice. Confident, but funny. She has a great sense of humor, too! Wait, if I can hear her, she can hear me. With the most important words I have ever spoken I call out to her: “I’ll take one transmitter and three receivers. Overnight delivery!”
Kevin from Radiopopper commented about the above post (I posted it on his blog):
ROTFL!!! Everyone, let me introduce you to Zeke K. He’s awesome. If you haven’t checked out his work, you should. He really is “out of the box”. I’ve never met Zeke, but I totally look forward to the opportunity. He appears to be a bit of a flash master to top it all off. Check him out at zekek.com. He’s no doubt somewhere high up on my list of “photographer heros”. Thanks for the contribution Zeke. You rock.

I pre-ordered mine a few weeks ago too and now, the 17th of April, I am chomping at the bit…I could really use them for some upcoming jobs I have. I look forward to seeing what you do with yours!
